A Personal Invitation

"Have you ever thought about teaching singing?”

“You should teach—you’d be incredible at it!”

Over the years, I’ve heard these words more times than I can count.

The truth is, I always wanted to share what I’ve learned—but life on stage,

in the studio, and across continents kept me moving.

On rare occasions, I did agree to teach, when time and circumstance allowed,

and each experience reminded me how powerful it can be to pass on knowledge.

Now, I’m finally making space to do just that.

Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned performer,

if you're searching for your voice,

I’d be honored to help you discover it.

 About Me

I’m a recording and performing artist with an international career that spans

jazz, adult contemporary, blues, and genre-bending projects.

I’ve performed in parts of the U.S., as well as in India and across Southeast Asia,

collaborating with GRAMMY®-recognized producers and award-winning songwriters along the way.

But beyond the accolades and the albums, what has always driven me is this:

the human voice.

Its depth, its honesty, its power to reveal who we are.

As a vocalist, songwriter, producer, and visual artist,

I strive to bring authenticity, vision, and vocal excellence to everything I create.

I'm honored to be a GRAMMY® voting member and to have been a featured artist on the

GRAMMY®-nominated album The Fury by Antonio Vergara.

My sound doesn’t fit neatly into one category.

With a cross-genre appeal rooted in jazz pop, traditional pop, vocal jazz, blues,

rock, country, soul, traditional R&B, adult contemporary, gothic rock, and symphonic metal,

I blend emotional depth with musical diversity in every performance.

Each song is a reflection of the journey—of who I am and who I continue to become.

Why I Teach

Because I know what it’s like to carry a voice inside you—and not know what to do with it.

Because someone once believed in me.

Because every voice matters.

And because it's your time to be heard.

Voice. Artistry. Creative Integrity.

TESTIMONIALS

"I have a background as a vocalist and appreciate what it takes to get it “right”.

A lot goes into being able to breathe, articulate, enunciate, and get the tone right where you want it.

Lyia has dedicated herself to become a premiere entertainer.

In addition to assisting in skills such as how to breathe,

how to enunciate and tone control,  which are essential for any singer,

she can assist as a mentor to focus and develop empowerment, self-reliance, and resilience.

She would be an outstanding mentor.

If you are lucky enough to have her as a mentor/coach, I assure you,

the results will be more than you thought possible.”

Gail A Young

Vocalist, Performer

"As a songwriter in Los Angeles, I am pleased to recommend Lyia Meta as a vocal coach and mentor.

Lyia and I have been collaborating as a for five years and in all of my pitches for any commercial usage,

the enthusiasm and response to her performances is unbelievable.

Lyia is the hardest working musician I know and is always in motion.

Her dedication to her craft is unparalleled and over-succeeds at everything she attempts.

To have Lyia as a teacher or mentor would be a rare opportunity and a gift.

Not only is she a singer, songwriter, producer and musician,

Lyia is schooled in the music business and craft allowing her to go in any and every direction that a student or mentee would want.

Creative and adaptive and incredibly talented.

If Lyia was in Los Angeles, applicants would be knocking down her door!"
