In the quiet of the afternoon light,
A tuxedo cat sits, black and white.
With fur so sleek, like evening’s attire,
She prances and sashays, never to tire.
Her name is Girl, our rambunctious queen,
A little feline full of plots unseen.
Her paws are dipped in pristine white,
While inky black cloaks her tight.
Her chartreuse eyes gleam with a touch of mischief bright,
As she ponders upon the day and the night.
She watches the world from her windowsill,
Graceful and poised, yet perfectly still.
A living portrait, so refined,
A gentle soul with a scheming mind.
For our Girl is cunning, full of plans,
Her unsuspecting hu-man in her hands.
But there’s a man she loved from the start,
Her affections met with a guarded heart.
Unrequited at first, her love was spurned,
Yet through her charm, his devotion she earned.
With gentle purrs and patient grace,
She found her way into his embrace.
Now in his arms, she reigns supreme,
His adoring devotion, no more a distant dream.
Alas, but what can I do, I lament through sighs,
For she was mine, beneath the skies.
To love, to hold, to keep me fine,
For love is not forced nor is it bought,
But eases naturally into one's life, unthought.
As the sun sets, casting its glow,
Girl lets out a soft meow, just so.
With a stretch and a yawn, she settles in,
Her heart content, where love's roots begin.
But in those gleaming eyes, you can see,
The tricks she dreams, wild and free.
Our little Girl, with her tuxedo sheen,
Is the cleverest cat we’ve ever seen.
